Flathead Lake Biological Station
Help Flathead Lake Remain the Jewel of Northwest Montana

For over 125 years, the Flathead Lake Biological Station has pioneered freshwater science. With your help, we will continue advancing our understanding of these beneficial habitats through research and collaboration.

Your gift of any amount provides:

  • Educational opportunities for UM students, including classes, independent research and internships
  • Engagement with local schools to educate K-12 students and teachers about Flathead Lake and its watershed
  • Long-term water quality and invasive species monitoring on Flathead and Whitefish Lakes
  • Student scholarships

You may direct your gift to the scholarship fund or to the area of greatest need through the Opportunity Fund by using the dropdown menu after clicking the 'Give Now' button.

Thank you for advancing cutting-edge research at one of the oldest, active biological stations in the U.S. Because of you, the Biological Station ensures that Flathead Lake stays the jewel of Northwest Montana now and for future generations.

Every gift tells a tale. Be a part of the UM story, now and forever.
