When you give to the School of Journalism Impact Fund, you help:
- Provide financial support to students serving unpaid or low-paying internships in newsrooms in Montana, the region, the country and the world.
- Build more robust recruiting efforts that will grow our student body, enhance diversity and create the journalists of tomorrow. We believe it is imperative to mentor young journalists from diverse backgrounds to provide fresh perspectives in news coverage and support our democracy.
You may also give directly to one of the School of Journalism's most vital initiatives, the Montana Media Lab. Your gift helps:
- Support our Montana Media Lab Youth Voices Program that teaches Indigenous high school students from underserved communities how to make audio stories about their homes. This program helps youth in isolated, rural areas develop storytelling skills, connect to people in their communities, and develop meaningful relationships with college student instructors who act as youth mentors.
- Support the Montana Media Lab’s audio series stories unique to the Intermountain West. This program focuses on telling Indigenous and rural stories and gives students valuable experience working on podcasts.
