Your gift to the UM Foundation in support of the Phyllis J. Washington College of Education Impact Fund helps us direct essential resources so students and faculty can thrive. 

Your unrestricted support helps bolster scholarships and emergency aid for students with pandemic-related needs, allows us to create innovative teaching methods and technology, and expands faculty scholarship and hands-on learning opportunities for students.

When you give to the Phyllis J. Washington College of Education Impact Fund, you help: 

• Provide scholarships to our students. Scholarships help our students afford the costs associated with student teaching assignments, provide opportunities to complete internships, afford tuition and books, and focus on research at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Maintain our Learning and Belonging (LAB) Preschool as a local childcare center and teaching environment for our early childhood education students. The LAB Preschool is one of the top early childhood programs to achieve accreditation through the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
• Disburse emergency aid to students facing unexpected financial hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
