Your gift to the UM Foundation in support of the Flathead Lake Biological Station Opportunity Fund helps us direct essential resources so FLBS students, scientists and faculty can serve Montana, the nation, and the world by conducting impactful research, protecting our waters and educating students of all ages.  

When you give to the Flathead Lake Biological Station Opportunity Fund, you help: 

• Keep Flathead Lake and its watershed blue, via the Bio Station’s long-term water quality monitoring program which helps us understand and protect our aquatic ecosystems. 
• Inspire and train the next generation of scientists and stewards through hands-on field education and internships for students at all levels: K-12, undergraduate, graduate and life-long learners.  
• Maintain, secure and upgrade FLBS facilities and infrastructure at our Yellow Bay campus, which are essential for our education programs and our world-renowned science on freshwater.
